The design – by the Bristol team of award-winning global architect Chapman Taylor – has very carefully considered the importance of such a prominent location. The final proposal includes an elegant, very high quality 26-storey tower, which has a distinct design to create a clear locational reference point.
Several other buildings of equally high quality, reduced in height away from the tower as they get closer to the lower neighbouring apartment block. Inside the development is a courtyard which will provide necessary external private amenity space for residents. We will make significant improvements to neighbouring roads to help create better movement around the site for pedestrians and cyclists.
The design proposals will preserve as many of the existing trees on the Site as possible although some thinning is expected to allow more natural light and the better-quality trees to flourish.
